Ace Lips Events Presents a Comedy Night for the Good Festival Comedy night

MC for the Comedy Night is Legend from Hull, Sam Harland

Sam Harland's unique, observational humour, is drawn from his working class roots. He is able to engage his audience in a warm, quick-witted and friendly manner. Sam's material is self-deprecating, ironic and honest, particularly in relation to his colourful past escapades. Known as the Recovering Comedian, Sam promises to bring the room and acts together for a great night of fun and laughter.

Opening the Show is Actor, Performer, award winning radio presenter, writer, Juggler and Britain Got Talent finalised Steve Royle

Steve has travelled the world entertaining sold out audiences at Manchester Arena with 'Phoenix Nights Live' show to Cruises around the Norwegian Fjords, Hong Kong, Japan and more.

Anna Thomas

Anna Thomas was the Winner of the BBC New Comedy Award 2021 appearing on live BBC shows to reach and win the final. Originally from Burry Port, South Wales, Anna now lives in Manchester plus, she's a bit daft

“Welsh starlet, Anna is the breakthrough act of the moment and highly touted for a successful career in comedy. Comparisons with fellow Welsh comic, Rhod Gilbert don’t end with their accents; Anna’s delightfully grumpy and gruff delivery leaves audiences belly laughing”

Punch Drunk Comedy

“Playful and whimsical, Anna Thomas has instant likeability. Anna is definitely an act to watch out for… one of the most promising acts on the North West circuit" “One to watch”

Nodding Dog Comedy

“Welsh whimsy… one of the UK’s hottest new acts”

Dead Cat Comedy

“Super refreshing and original in an often comedy sea of beige… one of them with funny bones she is.”

Barking Tales/ Harriet Dyer

“Welshwoman Anna Thomas...exudes a convivial daftness” “She's an odd fish, that's for sure, but owns it.” “distinctive rhythms and charmingly dotty attitude that wins our affections”

Chortle

Charming, relatable and hilarious. Definitely one to watch

Giggle Shack Comedy

Headliner is Duncan Oakley Comedian, Songwriter, Musician, Actor, One man band!

Duncan Oakley has been a musician since the age of six, has performed on the UK comedy circuit since 1999, appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, on BBC Radio 4 and at many summer festivals as well as starring in Beat24's feature film 'Frontman' and short film 'Read Between the Signs'

With musical skills that would easily fit into many rock bands Duncan Oakley performs an infectious mix of musical comedy and stand up with one of his trusty guitars – Maurice (Fender Strat), No.7 (acoustic) or his Les Paul (the Lezza) by his side.

He has been a musician since the age of six, has performed on the UK comedy circuit since 1999, appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, on BBC Radio 4 and at many summer festivals as well as starring in Beat24’sfeature film Frontman and short film Read Between the Signs. Duncan was voted English Comedian of the Yearin 2015 and Midlands Comedian of the Year 2016.

With an eye and ear for the silly, rude, playful and downright irritating occurrences of life Duncan musters up songs that not only make you laugh, they bury into the recesses of your mind and find you a humming tune with a smile on your face three days later, confused and wondering where it’s come from.

Duncan performs regularly at some of the UKs biggest clubs and festivals. A talented all-round musician Duncan can also perform with harmonica, drums & piano as a one man musical whirlwind.

Leaping between stupidity and pure brilliance!

YORKSHIRE EVENING POST

Unlike some musical comics who rely on a guitar to get them through, Oakley’s routine deftly mixes the tunes with the stand-up
