Host and MC Jon Pearson

Jon began stand-up comedy in 2010, with his first performance at Birmingham's Highlight Comedy Club and crowned Best MC in the Midlands, 2022.

Two successful Edinburgh shows later,

and 5 years working the UK comedy circuit, Jon is now regularly found at the biggest and best comedy clubs across the UK including The Glee Club, The Comedy Store and Jongleurs, both as an act and a compere.

His 2015 Leicester Comedy Festival show, Jon Pearson: Tall Order, sold out at Melton Theatre within 2 weeks of the tickets going on sale.

Jon's laid-back storytelling has audiences hanging on his every word. With tales based around his own life experiences, his anecdotes are relatable and certain to have people in hysterics.

Based in the Midlands, Jon is the resident MC at his own comedy night? Wax Comical at The Noels Arms in Melton Mowbray.

Jon’s career has even taken him overseas with performances in Spain, Norway and even as far away as Wigan (it is like being on another planet).

Jon is also a familiar face on at comedy festivals across the UK having taken three solo shows to the Leicester, Nottingham & Edinburgh festivals with the highlight of the all coming in the form of a sold out show at his home town Melton Theatre in Melton Mowbray.

Jon has also provided tour support for Darren Harriot on his UK 2018/2019 tour and Lucy Porter on her UK 2017 tour.

Quotes

"She’s a bold, brash, shameless presence full of gloriously inappropriate jokes and twisted, dark songs gleefully mocking some awful things. It’s a ribald, vulgar set, full of crude knockabout humour delivered with blunt vitality.  And an absolute crowd-pleaser. She came second, and I suspect it was a close poll, for she’s a powerhouse surely poised to storm the circuit." - STEVE BENNETT, CHORTLE

"I can safely say Jenny got the best audience reaction this venue has ever seen."

GAG N BONE MAN COMEDY

"Jenny absolutely raised the roof last night at a Comedy Club with a superbly raucous set, leaving some audience members in tears of laughter. A brilliant act who I'd happily recommend to other promoters!" - ACOMEDY CLUB

"Jenny Hart is a fantastic addition to any line-up. How she is not a household name already I will never know" DOUG CARTER EVENTS

Lou Conran

Lou Conran is a comedian, writer, podcaster performer, and a superlative storyteller. She has performed stand up since 2005 all over the UK and more recently Australia.

Having gone to stage school when she was 12, Lou eloped her love of t-ting about, and she was told that if she knuckled down, she could make a brilliant serious dramatic actress.

Her first proper acting job was dressing up as a six-foot orange teddy bear that lived with four other bears, very dramatic and very serious.

As a writer, she has written for R3’s The Verb, R4’s The Show What You Wrote, CBBC presentation with Hacker T Dog, and more notably was a regular contributor to the Standard Issue Magazine.

She has appeared on Radio: R4’s Woman’s Hour, R4’s miniseries ‘You’ve Got to Laugh’, and R4’s It’s Not What You Know, BBC World Service ‘Outlook’. Podcasts: The Grief Cast, The Naked Podcast, Do the Right Thing, and What Goes on Here. Lou has had various TV incarnations, but more recently CH4’s First Dates Hotel, ITV’s Lorraine, and most significantly an abattoir worker on Emmerdale, and a midwife on Hollyoaks.

Her Edinburgh show 2017 ‘I Love Lou C’ was critically acclaimed which led to a run at Soho Theatre, London. The show tackled Lou’s experience with baby loss and was voted finalist in the Funny Women Awards for Best Show 2017. It is due to be filmed for ‘Next Up’ and is currently being developed for radio.

Lou is co-host of her podcast Spit or swallow where celebrity guest joins her for a drink and chat with hilarious results

“Proving you can make a stand-up show about literally anything if the performer is skilled enough.” The Scotsman

“Proving you can make a stand-up show about literally anything if the performer is skilled enough.” The Scotsman "An appealing mix of charm, cheeriness and cheek" Chortle

Lou started stand-up comedy in 2006 and has gigged regularly ever since. She gigs up and down the country and is a regular MC for Comedy Central- Liverpool’s Baby Blue, Frog & Bucket - Manchester, Hilarity Bites, Buzz Comedy, amongst many others. Amongst her set 15/20’s, she has supported Sarah Millican, Puppetry of The Penis (supported, not got her wanger out) gigged for Buzz Comedy, Manfords Comedy Clubs, The Stands (Edinburgh/Glasgow), again amongst many others, has been delighting audiences with her naughty but nice delivery, her friendly presence, and her instinctive wit, ever since.

Here's a few nice things that people have said about her:

"Naturally Funny" Sarah Millican

"A great emcee, quick witted, and adept at handling large rooms" Gary Delaney

"Lou Conran is a very versatile MC and one of the warmest we use. She can judge a room and pitch her performance perfectly. Not only is she very funny, but she also sets the room up for the other acts. We love her. " Lee Martin Gag Reflex

“Lou Conran, pretty much one of the most confident and playful comperes we’ve seen recently, commanding a packed and raucous sell-out night with ease.” Latest7 magazine

“Compere Lou Conran –always fabulous, a compere who makes her job look so effortless that it’s a fair bet that her fellow comics want to do her serious harm.” Fringe Review

"Lou did a great job of hosting our gig in Darlington, really injecting energy into a fairly lethargic midweek crowd with her cheeky humour and impressive audience interaction. Really struck the right note, and I'll certainly be offering her more MC work on the back of it." Neil Jolly Hilarity Bites

“Fabulously naughty” UKTW

"Louise is a naturally funny comic, with a warm and dotty stage presence that helps endear her to an audience. If she can build on the great foundations she has laid, she's sure to have a good future ahead of her. Witty, naughty but most of all good fun, with a touch of the Victoria Wood about her." Toby Hadoke -XS Malarkey

"…with a cracking stage presence and good material…thoroughly engaging, you tell she has the talent." -Frog & Bucket
